Language and Subject Preparation
GISMA Business School’s Foundation Programme prepares students for bachelor’s degrees in business or computer science. This single-semester course offers two pathways—Business or Computer Science—while building English proficiency and core methodological skills. When participants complete all modules and reach B2 level, they transition directly to undergraduate studies, setting a strong foundation for academic success.
Foundation Advantages
What makes this programme distinctive is its tuition credit system: fees get converted into credit for the final bachelor’s semester, which significantly reduces financial pressure. Participants also sharpen their language abilities, making the transition to campus life in Germany much smoother. The choice between Business and Computer Science pathways allows students to align their studies with personal goals and career aspirations.
GISMA Business School Course Structure
The Foundation Programme runs for half a year and includes an intensive English course—550 hours across two semesters. Each module demands around 125 hours of work, encompassing lectures, practical sessions, group projects, and exams. This structure blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on skills, ensuring participants receive well-rounded preparation.
Business Education Modules
The Business pathway encompasses four core modules:
- English for Foundation Programme
- Mathematical Foundations
- Business Management Fundamentals
- Academic and Professional Development
Business Management Fundamentals introduces participants to the business environment, exploring key concepts, organizational structures, and management principles. Academic and Professional Development covers research methods, critical thinking, and professional communication—all essential for success in business education.
Computer Science
The Computer Science pathway consists of four modules:
- English for Foundation Programme
- Mathematical Foundations
- Computer Science Fundamentals
- Academic and Professional Development
Computer Science Fundamentals covers systems, algorithms, and programming, building a solid grasp of computational concepts. Mathematical Foundations focuses on discrete mathematics, logical reasoning, and problem-solving—skills that underpin programming and computational thinking. Together, these prepare GISMA Business School students for successful undergraduate study and future careers in the field.
